Merrie Melodies #181: All This and Rabbit Stew (1941) - Public Domain Animated Comedy
One of the 'Censored Eleven', 11 Merrie Melodies and Looney Tunes cartoons banned due to their racism, "All This and Rabbit Stew"'s title parodies that of "All This, and Heaven Too", a 40's Warner Bros. Movie, but really it's a crack at black Americans and Stepin Fetchit...who was also a crack at black Americans.
The character, who is called Tex's Coon by the way, is a stereotyped black American guy who wants to shoot Bugs Bunny for reasons of...well I assume to eat him from the film's title. Using classic Bugs Bunny misdirection tactics, and exploiting Tex's Coon's inability to resist shooting craps, he gets away and even wins all of Tex's Coon's clothes.
Not actually very funny; might be funnier if Bugs was outsmarting Elmer Fudd instead (actually they reuse some of the jokes in this in later Warner Bros. cartoons with Elmer) instead of this very dated black-Americans-are-apparently-goofy character. Still, it's classic Merrie Melodies and Mel Blanc gives a great performance as usual.
