CUC 2004 B5 Toni Milovan - Suitability of TYPO3 CMS Implementation in Croatian Academic Environment
In order to publish a large amount of information on their websites, academic institutions need to have systems that will enable them easy and fast publishing without long periods of education and adaptation in order to accept such systems. Usage of such systems have to be distributed to all organisation's subjects instead of being limited to a small group of technologically adept people in organisation. Aim of this paper is to test suitability of implementing Typo3 content management system in academic institutions in Croatia in order to improve web publishing process of this institutions. Suitability is tested comparing Typo3 concepts and features against widely accepted requirements for web content management systems in general and also considering specific conditions found in Croatian academic network environment.
